What are the period pain relief methods:

1. Abdominal Breathing (breathing from the stomach)

2. Use of Castor Oil

3. Yoga Asanas

Let us understand these three methods in detail

  1. Abdominal Breathing: Stay with your breath

Deep breathing or deep breathing reduces stress and can ease your period pain.

This is the way to do this exercise:

1. Lie down on your back hair.

2. Place your hands on your stomach.

3. Bring your feet closer to your feet.

4. Take a deep breath through your nose and inflate your stomach.

5. Slowly let your breath out of your mouth and pull your stomach inwards.

6. Repeat this for a few minutes.

Let your body relax while focusing on this exercise.

2. Castor Oil: Pain's Enemy

By using Castor Oil, you can reduce inflammation and get relief from period pain.

This is how to do it:

 1. Heat some castor oil.

 2. Massage your lower abdomen (lower stomach) with this.

 3. Wash with a cloth or towel.

 4. Keep a hot water bottle or heating pad on top for 15-20 minutes.

 3. Yoga: Relief with Flexibility

Some yoga poses can help reduce period cramps and other menstrual symptoms.  One effective pose is Supta Baddha Konasana:

How to do Supta Baddha Konasana?

1. Lay down the hair on the back.
 2. Fold the knees and join the soles of the           feet with each other.
 3. Let your knees open to the sides.
 4. Stay in this position for 5-10 minutes.

This pose stretches the inner thighs, groin, and hips and increases blood flow to the reproductive organs, which reduces menstrual cramps and discomfort.

Variation of Supta Baddha Konasana

  • You can try one more variation:
  • Lie down near the deer.
  • Keep your legs up on the body, with knees bent.
  • Or else you can keep the straight legs on the dewar.

This position increases blood flow in the pelvic area, which reduces inflammation and pain.

How to use these natural methods?

Remember, different things can work for someone.  You can try these three methods and see what works best for you:

  • Do deep breathing exercise 2-3 times a day, especially when the pain is severe.
  • Do castor oil massage at night before going to sleep or when you are relaxing.
  • Try yoga poses in the morning or evening, when your body is a little warm.

Tips for period pain relief

These natural methods will not only give you relief from period pain, but your overall quality of life will also improve.  Whether you do deep breathing, use castor oil, or try yoga poses – it's important to listen to your body and do what feels comfortable to you.

Remember, if the pain is too much or these methods don’t work, don’t forget to consult a doctor.  Give priority to your health and make your periods stress-free!
