1.Keep a Gratitude Journal

This is a very effective way to increase gratefulness.  Take out 10-15 minutes every day and write down in a journal some of the things that made you happy that day and made you feel grateful.  By keeping this journal, your focus goes to the small things of each day and they get deeply embedded in the mind.

 In this journal you can also make illustrations, or paste a picture of something for which you are grateful - like a tasty meal, a photo of the sunset, or a drawing of your pet!  Just think what was special today that made me happy.

 2.Focus on yourself

We all forget to be grateful to ourselves for one thing or the other.  So have a special day or week when you appreciate yourself only for your qualities, talents and positive aspects.  Think about how many struggles you have gone through, but today you are here!  It is very important to be grateful for yourself as well.

 3.Appreciate others

There are many people in our life for whom we should be grateful - like our parents, friends, companions.  Take out some time in a day and think about who made your work easy that day or what special thing did they do for which you are grateful to them.  Go back and tell them or say thank you - this will make them very happy and it will be a practice for you to be grateful.

 4.Write Gratitude Notes

The method of writing notes is different.  Here you will write a handwritten gratitude note for a very special friend, relative or family member in which you will tell them how grateful you are to them.  Just imagine how happy they will be after reading this!

 In this note you can write about what special personality traits they have that you are grateful for, what special thing they did for you that makes you feel grateful, or just that you are grateful for them being in your life  .  Handwritten notes always seem more meaningful.

 5.Celebrate happiness

Whenever any small or big happiness comes in our life, we can celebrate it - since childhood we have been celebrating birthdays and festivals.  This is how we remember those moments for which we should be grateful.

You can celebrate small joys at home, like making something special and eating sweets, or celebrating by sitting together.  This is a great way to express gratitude because it allows us to celebrate what we received and what made us happy.

 6.Share on social media

Nowadays social media has become an important part of all of our lives.  So why not use this platform to increase gratefulness also?  Whenever you feel grateful for something, take a photo of that thing and share it on social media.  Write in the message how happy this thing made you today, and how grateful you are for it.

 This will not only increase your gratefulness, but you will also show others how important gratitude is.  When other people will see your gratitude post, they will also start following this practice.

 7.Do meditation

Meditation is a very good way to improve mental health, reduce stress and focus on the present.  Through this you can also increase your gratefulness.  Sit down and meditate for 5-10 minutes, while breathing and focusing on things you are grateful for. Meditation will bring more positivity in your thinking, and you will be able to pay more attention to the small joys of life.  With this practice your gratefulness level will definitely increase.

  3.  🌺 Make a "Gratitude Tree".  Make a drawing of the tree, and on each leaf write the name of something for which you are grateful.
  4.  🌺 Make a video about your experiences to show how grateful you are for so many things.
