Amazing Cardio Workout at Home!

Why is cardio necessary?

Cardio workout or aerobic exercise increases the stamina of our heart and lungs. This also boosts our metabolism and we feel fit and energetic. This not only improves our physical fitness, but is also very beneficial for mental health.

Benefits of doing cardio at home

  • No membership or equipment required
  • You can workout whenever you get time
  • No travel time is wasted
  • You get indoor privacy
  • You can do it with family

Cardio Exercises To Do At Home

Before we begin, remember - warming up is very important. Do light stretching, arm circles and spot jogging for 5-10 minutes. This will warm up the muscles and reduce the risk of injury.

1. Jumping Jacks

A classic warm up! Stand straight comfortably, raise your hands and stretch your legs. Then do it in reverse – bring your hands down and join your feet. Keep repeating this comfortably.

 2. Jump Rope

Old is gold! Rassi kudna is a very cool cardio. Start slowly and gradually increase the speed. Rassi is not to be confused with imaginary rassi.

 3. Running on the Spot

When it is difficult to go out, you can run on the spot! Start by jogging slowly, then gradually increase the speed. Do 2-3 minute sets with breaks.

 4. Squats

A unique exercise that targets both legs and butts. Stand straight and keep your feet at shoulder distance. Then as you sit, bend halfway and then stand up again.

 5. Lunges

And legs exercise. Keep one foot forward, then go down keeping the other knee on the ground. I wandered here and there into some room.

 6. Step Up

Use your wisdom! Place both your feet on the steps of the ladder one by one and raise your legs. This works out both the stomach and legs.

 7. Kickboxing

A little fun too! Hit him with punches and kicks all around like a pro boxer. Mast arm and leg workout is done.

 Home Cardio Tips

  1. Start slowly and do not let the warm-up start
  2. Gradually increase the speed and intensity
  3. Short bursts of high intensity intervals are better
  4. Take sufficient breaks
  5. Breathe properly and stay hydrated
  6. Cool down and do stretching don't forget.
  7. Try to include every exercise in your workout. In circuit style do one after the other for variation. When you get bored, shuffle the order. This way you will stay fit and mentally fresh while living at home.
  8. Try to do a minimum of 30 minutes of workout daily. It may be you feel difficult in the beginning, but if you make it a habit then it will become a healthy routine.  What a great thing, it's a free home workout, no excuses!

What to keep in mind for safety

  •  Make sure to have non-slippery flooring
  •  Wear breathable clothes
